Plot: When a hunter sent back to the prehistoric era runs off the path he must not leave, he causes a chain reaction that alters history in disastrous ways.
Teehee. Such silliness this is. Loosely based on a Ray Bradbury story that I absolutely loved, this goofy little action flick is full of plotholes and cheesy dialogue. However, I have to admit I enjoyed it more than most action/adventure flicks. It does have a good premise (hello, Bradbury!) even if it then does slice it up so that it's harder to tell it's a good premise. Pretty mindless fun, but nothing in the least special. 2.5 stars.

Attack of the Crab Monsters (1957)
I had the privilege to see this at a film festival at our community college - "classic sci-fi". This week was a double feature, Attack of the Crab Monsters and Plan 9 From Outer Space. We watched this one first and I have to say, I had a great audience to watch it with. People were yelling out comments left and right. This is a classic bad movie... The monsters don't move their legs when they walk. One monster is destroyed, the people still have no way off the island, and they all cheer like it's the end. A man's greed for oil leads him to be eaten by the crabs. The crabs swallow people's brains whole so they can now think and talk like those people. A few sailors play poker using sticks of dynamite as chips. Goodness. What else can I say about this movie? If you ever get a chance to watch it with a group of loud-mouthed mocking people, DO SO. It should be one of the most entertaining afternoons/evenings/mornings/whatever of your lifetime. 1.5 stars.

Neco z Alenky (1988)
Egggh. This was one of the creepiest movies I've ever seen. It just made me go, "UGH!" It's a retelling of "Alice in Wonderland", combining live action with animation, except everything is bizarrely surreal and like a horrid nightmare. Alice is as bold and unafraid as she was in the book, except here it seems absolutely unreasonable whereas in most of the book you always had this feeling that none of these characters would hurt her... Here, they all seem to be after her, bone creatures and rabbits in wheelchairs and socks with no feet in them... *shudder* Wouldn't see THIS one ever again. 0.5 stars.

Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein (1948)
Plot: Two hapless frieght handlers find themselves encountering Dracula, the Frankenstein Monster and the Wolf Man.
Um....I can't believe I got this out of the library. I mean, Abbott and Costello movies aren't exactly profound...but I have to admit, I enjoyed most of it. Whenever there was actual plot, it got boring, but as long as it was just silly rambling, it was definitely fun. ("What's in there?" "Broom closet.") 2.5 stars.
