Cats and Dogs (2001)

This movie was hilarious! It was completely silly, didn't take itself at all seriously (which is always fun), and despite the fact that the little kid annoyed the heck outta me, it was an awesome movie. 4 stars.

Cold Comfort Farm (1995)

A strange movie, but funny, nonetheless. The contrast of her cheerful optimism contrasted with the gloom and doom of the rest of the household is hilarious, and the way she just waltzes in and fixes up their lives left me chuckling. Not as hysterically funny as I'd heard it was, but still a really good movie. 3.5 stars.

Chicken Run (2000)

This is one of my favorite Dreamworks cartoons, second only to Shrek, but Chicken Run manages to keep most of the fun humor while throwing out the cussing and crude jokes. It's genuinely funny, not a movie for only kids. My favorite movie quote of all time comes from this movie: "The most important thing is that we have to work together as a team, which means...you do everything I tell you." Great, great film. 4 stars.

Deceived (1982)

This movie was awesome! It totally creeped me out, although I'm sure the fact that I watched it at 10:30 at night with all the lights out...helped. Goldie Hawn did a fantastic job in this movie . . . I like the fact that her character wasn't totally dependent on all these other people to rescue her, she was very self-dependent but without being annoying. 3 stars.

Galaxy Quest (1999)

This movie was pretty funny...it wasn't one of the most hilarious films I've ever seen, but it made me chuckle. I liked the concept...I used to watch Star Trek all the time, which definitely makes the movie funnier to know that it's a takeoff...Aw, it was a fine movie. Not spectacular, but not bad. 2.5 stars.

Dinosaur (2000)

Eh, this movie was okay. I kept thinking of other movies while watching it...the music at the beginning made me think of The Lion King, the part where the monkeys find Aladar made me think of Tarzan, and the rest of the movie was reminiscent of The Land Before Time. It was a fine movie, cute for little kids. 2 stars.

Homeward Bound (1993)

Oh, no, it's an animal survival movie! But, wait... The animals talk! That really does make it all better. Despite some "oh noes I've lost my pet" sappiness, it doesn't generate into nonsense, and it remains solidly entertaining all the way through. Kudos. 3.5 stars.
